Unschool Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Technology

What it does: Unschool is an e-mentorship platform that allows students, graduates, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and "anyone with a desire to learn" to build an online learning ecosystem tailored to their needs and industry demands.

Mission: To create a powerful online learning ecosystem for everyone, tailored for each one.

Size and presence: Around 50 nationally headquartered in Hyderabad

Best known for: Combine career counseling, self-paced learning, personalized mentorship, and individualistic online courses delivered by industry experts to optimize alternative learning and teaching methods.

The good bits: The work environment is actually quite pleasant, which is particularly noteworthy. Work hours are adaptable. In a big way, learn the art of sales and marketing from an expert.

The not so good bits: The stipend for an intern is not great, but the learning experience more than makes up for it. Because work days are six days a week, this can have an impact on work-life balance.

The Unschool story

Rahul Varma, 25, became an engineer by chance, as do many other engineering graduates in India. He realized much later in life that his true passion was in management and sales, not coding. After leading AIESEC's operations in India, he went on to become the Chief Operating Officer of an ed-tech startup in Bengaluru.

There, Rahul realized that India's schooling and education system was out of date, as there was little industry relevance to what was being taught in schools and colleges. The majority of today's youth lack industry relevance and real-time skills to keep up with the rate of change in technology and other industries.

"This raises the question of whether the current system and educational standards are serving the purpose of producing employable and entrepreneurial workers." Rahul is being investigated

He also discovered a NITI Aayog report stating that by 2025, India will have 600 million young people (45 percent of the total population), with only about 45 percent of them being employable.

All of this led to his decision to launch Unschool in Hyderabad in February 2019.

Culture & vibe

Unschooling is a place where you can thrive. A single person cannot make a difference in the world. However, a group of Unschoolers certainly can. Let's come up with ideas, create them, celebrate our successes, treasure our lessons, and work together to make a difference. Thrive in a vibrant, forward-thinking environment. The path you take at Unschool is entirely your own, but we will always be there to support and encourage you. A career, not just a job. Learners advance with us, but Unschoolers evolve. How about some networking and relaxation? We place a high value on unwinding after a long day's work. And boy, do we have a good laugh!

Recruitment process

Group Discussion

The panelist will present you with a topic. You will be given a time limit (5 to 10 minutes) to think about and frame your points. You will be given a time slot (15 to 30 minutes) to discuss the topic with your group. Your GD panelist may intervene to prevent you from speaking past your individual time limit.

Personal Interview

The personal interview is essentially a meeting set up by us to evaluate a potential employee for future employment. This meeting, however, should be viewed as a two-way street between the candidate and the interviewer.

HR Round

Each organization performs an HR interview round to assess your personality, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as your ability to handle the role, check your background, and determine if you are the right fit for this job. In most cases, the HR round is the final round of a company's hiring process.
