Your role

Position Summary

The Fellowship Recruitment Intern will have two primary roles:

  • Create a detailed sourcing plan - research new avenues to source applications for the Fellowship, and initiate action based on this research in the form of dialogues and partnerships.
  • Create pathways to engage with the high-potential registrations they get weekly at the Fellowship Recruitment Team.

The time commitment will concentrate on the recruitment cycle from August 2022 to January 2023. The busiest cycle times are the two weeks preceding every application deadline. 

You should plan to spend 18 to 20 hours a week (spent in the most strategic way possible).

This is a full-time, paid internship.

You will be sent a Letter of recommendation and Internship completion certificate from TFI on successful completion of the Internship.

You will also be exposed to the current reality and huge network of leaders in the development sector. 

Team Overview

The Recruitment Team works vigorously to help realize its vision that one day all students will attain an excellent education in India. By enlisting the country’s most promising future leaders in work, they directly support their mission of building a movement of leaders who will end educational inequity. Ultimately, they are driven by two goals: the short-term goal of putting students on a different life path and the long-term goal of building a strong alumni base to advocate for their students and work to eliminate the educational achievement gap.

They identify and inspire thousands of potential Fellows on college campuses and from multiple career sectors to apply to and join Teach For India and continue the work that existing Fellows are doing. 

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the high number of registrations from potentially high-quality candidates that they get every day. This could look like this - 
    • Holding application support spaces for candidates
    • Outreach efforts towards getting more promising candidates to apply for the Fellowship 
  • Plan outreach campaigns in colleges and corporates for recruitment. Build necessary investment in Institution heads and Influencers to make the event a success. 
  • Plan and execute events for a target audience in each deadline that will entail everything from conceptualizing the event to planning and executing it
