Office & Workplace at Energy Queensland

7.9 rating for Workplace, based on 13 reviews
Please comment on your company's office space, location and facilities. And while we're at it, please tell us a little about the dress code.
Office is quite good. No dedicated parking so if you don't start early you will park along way from the office. There is not much in the way of end of trip facilities with only a single shower on the ground floor for the 8-story building which is quite poor. Luckily I am one of the only people it appears which cycles to work. Dress code is typical office attire, and sometimes more casual on a friday. Polo shirts and slacks are common.

The office space at Newstead provides a conducive and comfortable place for work. The office space is consistently clean, and the workspaces are well designed, which contributes to a productive work environment. The end-of-travel bike facilities cater to my needs, which make for an easy commute. There is a lack of a strict dress code at EQL. While some of the more senior individuals and engineers may opt for a corporate attire such as dress shirts and pants, there is a flexibility in the attire within EQL and it's not uncommon to see colleagues wearing t-shirts and jeans.

Modern building in major hubs, with decent technology & lots of amenities. However getting access to software can be difficult when starting in a new team. Brisbane office is in Newstead which can be a pain to find parking or travelling via public transport. Other offices don't have this issue. Dress code is business/business casual in the main offices, and more smart casual for other hubs. Currently a lot of the desks are filled so potentially an issue in the future getting your own desk (may need to hot desk)

EQL's Brisbane office in Newstead is great. Being in Newstead, it favors living on the Northside. There is a Woolies close by and many restaurants/cafe for lunch/coffee. The office itself is very nice too. EQL has a 6-floor office all to themselves in Newstead. Most people wear business attire (button up shirt and pants). Many wear polos and pants. Some wear jeans. Some wear their PPE. I like to do fun shirt Fridays.

Good facilities. Central location. Lenient dress code, no need for formal attire.

Location and facilities quite good. Lack of options for public transport/parking. Dress code is standard business, however it is quite relaxed and you will often see colleagues wearing jeans. Casual Fridays.

The office spaces are good. The offices are starting to fill up though with free space/desks hard to come by. The location of the offices seem to be sufficient with suitable facilities as well. Dress code for employees is good with everyone looking respectable.

Office location and parking in Cairns is good. The dress code is casual professional, but some people where PPE. The only improvement could be increasing the amount of desks.

Public transport is the only way to get to work which can make it difficult on certain days. Would be nice to have more parking.

The offices are generally clean, well lit, and temperature controlled well. however, the offices are open plan and can get quite noisy at times what makes it difficult to work and appears as background noise in some meetings. The dress code is mostly business casual but is quite relaxed in most areas.
