Job Description

The Digital Imaging Services team is part of the Global Product Imaging group at Amazon and represents the final gateway through which all Amazon product images and video assets get on site. We work on several processes that help the overall site media quality improvement. Our goal is to deliver the best-in-class visual e-commerce experience to help our customers make well-informed buying decisions and to continuously drive innovation through a constant reevaluation of existing workflows and the development of new processes.

We are looking for an experienced associate to process and enhance the image or video assets based on standard procedures. This is a hands-on position that includes editing images or videos, color correction, controlling the end-to-end process by the following SOP and ensuring quality compliance, establishing procedures and post-production workflows under the manager's supervision, and ensuring visual consistency across multiple projects. The position requires the technical knowledge to identify improvement opportunities within the workflow and act upon reducing waste and improve the quality of the product images.

Responsibilities

  • Performs image editing for digitally submitted images against internal standards by using Adobe Photoshop
  • Performs High-end retouch to re-create the skin texture, image manipulation, color correction, and Pattern Matching according to Amazon standards
  • Understands and interacts with Amazon systems and tools
  • Follows and improves documented processes for retrieving, editing, and uploading product images from a variety of sources
  • Performs other tasks as required to support the publication of a high volume of high-quality images for Amazon sites
  • Recognize, facilitate, resolve and drive improvements of existing tools
  • Flexible in handling multiple projects that demand different skill sets

Competencies

  • Excellent skill in the high-end image or video editing, complex color correction High level of attention to detail Strong judgmental skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors's degree in any discipline is required
  • Professional experience in the image or video editing/color correction/ Pattern Matching under fast turnarounds.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop CC/2020 using Wacom Pen tablets
  • Skill sets required: High-end image edit (Skin correction, Color Correction, Pattern Matching)
  • Ability to handle multiple category images in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, in both individual and group situations for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development
  • Be a creative problem solver
  • Be able to maintain a positive attitude within a fast-paced environment and being a team player
  • Research, discover and implement new tools, technologies, and industry best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Demo/showreel is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a Design, Media, Broadcast, Animation or Artistic related field
  • Streamlining image or video editing workflows for high output
  • Computer technology experience with the ability to administrate editing systems
  • Attention to detail and a relentless desire for innovation.
  • Understanding of the image production process, equipment, technology, and roles
  • Knowledge in Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects
