The Apple Story

Apple Incorporated was established in 1976 by Steve Wozniak, Ronald Wayne, and Steve Jobs as Apple Computer Company to manufacture and sell Wozniak's Apple I PC. The firm was incorporated the following year, and Apple II, the company's next PC, recorded massive commercial success. In 1980, the company went public and became an instant success.

Five years later, the rift between Apple executives and the high price tags of the company's products posed challenges. This caused Wozniak to step back on amicable terms while Steve Jobs quit to establish NeXT and took some employees from Apple along. In the 90s, the electronics market experienced an evolution that saw Apple relinquish a significant market pull to Wintel and Microsoft.

Apple bought NeXT and enticed Jobs back to its management. During the 2000s, Steve Jobs revived the financial success of Apple by introducing the company's products to critical acclaim. A chain of retail stores was opened, and companies were bought to expand Apple's portfolio.

In 2018, Apple made history by becoming the first publicly traded organization to attain a valuation surpassing $1 trillion. As of January this year, that valuation is $3 trillion.

Apple came to India in 2019, and production started in mid-2020.
