QS Asia Rankings 2022: 18 Indian institutes among top 200; IIT Bombay leads from India with 42nd place

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has topped the QS Asia Rankings 2022, with Peking University and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) coming in second and third, respectively.

The QS Asia Rankings 2022 results were revealed recently. The ranking was topped by the National University of Singapore (NUS), with Peking University and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) coming in second and third, respectively. There are 18 Indian institutions among the top 200 in Asia, with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay topping the pack with a 42nd place ranking.

According to a statement released by IIT Bombay, the institution received a 71 out of 100 total score. IIT Bombay received scores of 81.4 in academic reputation, 96 in employer reputation, 23 in citation per faculty, 44.7 in faculty-student ratio, 100 in staff with PhD, 84.2 in papers per faculty, 78.5 in international research network, 11.0 in international faculty, 4.4 in international students, 14.5 in inbound exchange, and 8.3 in outbound exchange, all out of a possible 100 points, according to the report. Staff with PhD showed the strongest factor for IIT Bombay, with a regional rank of 18 among the 11 indicators in the QS Asia Rankings.
In the QS Asia University Rankings 2022, the institution was ranked in the top 7% of all universities in the area. Last year, the institution was placed 37th.

IIT Delhi is ranked 45th and IIT Madras is ranked 54th, respectively.
