IIT Kanpur has launched the Bright Minds Scholarships initiative, which will provide ten scholarships to students who place among the top 100 students in India in the JEE Advanced 2021 exam. The scholarships will be given to ten students who will begin studying at IIT Kanpur in the 2021-22 academic year.
Abhay Karandikar, the Director of IIT Kanpur, announced the news on Twitter. "IIT Kanpur is delighted to announce the Bright Minds Scholarships programme. The tweet added, "These are 10 prestigious and highly sought-after academic scholarships for students within the top 100 AIR in #JeeAdvanced2021"
"The scholarships are being created with the help of Lokvir Kapoor, an alumnus of the institution." These are intended to motivate and reward deserving pupils. "During their stay, the #scholarships cover all of their costs, including tuition and living," he said.
IIT Kharagpur has previously announced a full rider scholarship for the top 100 JEE (Advanced) rankers, which would cover all of the students' expenditures till they finish their BTech programme at the institute.
The scholarship will be offered starting in the 2021-22 academic year to students whose parents' yearly gross income is less than Rs 20 lakh.
