Your role

At Teach For India, they're looking for a talented and creative graphic design intern to join their team.

• As an intern, you will work closely with the Communications team on various projects, including social media, ads, web design, branding, and marketing collateral. 
• You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your skillset while also contributing to the success of the team.
• The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a graphic design program and will have strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

This is a full-time, paid opportunity.

Your responsibilities

• Assist in the development of concepts, layouts, and designs for digital and print collateral
• Help to maintain brand standards across all projects
• Prepare assets for production, including resizing and retouching images, generating colour palettes, and preparing text for layout
• Research design trends and competitor activity to inform creative direction
• Stay up-to-date on new software releases and industry news
• Manage multiple projects at various stages of development simultaneously

Salary & benefits

The annual salary for an Intern is INR 48,000/- (Source: Teach for India). Listed below are some of the benefits provided by the company:

Work-life balance

Work days are usually from Monday to Friday with flexible work timings. This role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from the office and home depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined by your future manager.

About you

To apply for this role, you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences, and Expectations:

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or a similar discipline
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other design software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines 
• A strong portfolio of previous work

Preferred Qualifications, Experiences, and Expectations: 

• Experience with CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems
• Photography experience
• Desire to continue to grow the skill set with ongoing education and training
