Your role

To fuel its ambitious growth plan, NTPC is looking for promising, dedicated, energetic young Graduate Engineers with brilliant academic records to join the organization as,

Engineering Executive Trainees in 2022 In Disciplines of:

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Electronics/Instrumentation 
• Civil
• Mining

Training, development & rotation 

The selected candidates shall undergo one-year training at various places. The final place of posting will be decided after the completion of training.

• Candidates can be placed, across the country, in any of the projects/ stations including Subsidiaries/JVs companies of NTPC.
• The incumbents would be posted at projects/stations for shift operation of power plants and will be required to work in shifts (including the night shift).
• Application for the post will be considered as the consent of the candidate to work in shifts (including the night shift).

Service agreement bond:

• The selected candidates who belong to the General, EWS and OBC categories will be required to execute a service agreement bond of INR 5,00,000/- (INR 2,50,000/- for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories) to serve the company for at least 3 years after successful completion of one-year training

Salary & benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of INR 40,000-1,40,000 at the basic pay of INR. 40,000/- (E1 Grade).

The other benefits provided by the company such as:

• Dearness Allowance,

• Terminal benefits etc.

Will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training / after absorption.

About you

The candidate must have the following eligibility criteria to apply for these positions; 

Required Qualification:

• Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
• Candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2022.
• The Upper Age limit is 27 years as of the last date of online application.

• Candidates will be required to upload their photographs during the online application.

• After successful registration, the system will generate a Unique registration/application number.
• Candidates are required to keep the printout of the registration slip which will be generated by the system after a successful registration.
• Please ensure that the GATE-2022 registration number, which is mentioned on your GATE-2022 scorecard, is filled up correctly.
• Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non­ refundable registration fee of Rs. 300/-. The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates need not pay the registration fee. The payment can be made either online or offline mode.

Selection process: 

• Eligible candidates must have appeared & qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2022.
• Candidates shall be shortlisted for document verification based on GATE-2022 performance, from amongst the candidates who apply against this advertisement in NTPC.
• Further, the candidates will be extended an "Offer of Appointment" subject to meeting the advertised eligibility criteria.
• Please note that only GATE marks of 2022 will be valid for EET-2022 recruitment.
