The Mahindra Story

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, commonly known as Mahindra, is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The company was founded by Jagdish Chandra Mahindra and Kailash Chandra Mahindra on 1 May 1903 as a steel mill company. It is listed on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of over US$20 billion.

Mahindra & Mahindra is the world's largest manufacturer of tractors with over 50% market share and sells utility vehicles including Scorpio, XUV500, XUV700, and Thar through its subsidiary Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited (M&M FSL). Its electric car venture Reva was launched in 2010 but was closed down in late 2014 due to poor sales performance. The group also manufactures diesel engines for truck makers like Volvo Trucks and Scania AB of Sweden.

Recruitment Process

The Mahindra Group recruitment process starts with the online registration of the candidate on the official website of Mahindra Group. After properly filling up the online registration form, candidates need to upload their documents and certificates as per their qualifications.

Then, they have to appear for the written test, which is followed by a personal interview. After qualifying for the written test, candidates must appear for a personal interview round, conducted at different centres across India. 

Depending upon the number of vacancies available in each field or location, candidates will be shortlisted for further interview rounds, including group discussion and/or individual interviews with HR managers, after passing all other rounds successfully.

Mahindra's JV with Ford Motor Company, Mahindra Ford Limited, has been suspended by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for five years for alleged anti-competitive practices. The company is also accused of colluding with Ford to fix prices in the Indian market.
