Your role
What You’ll Do:
Cisco Systems has an open opportunity for an engineer capable of covering Cisco’s Software-Defined and automation portfolios. The successful candidate is expected to have good knowledge of software-defined technologies, software automation, and development approaches/methodologies.
The candidate will support Cisco’s large SP and Enterprise customers. As such, there is an expectation that he/she will be able to work with customers and their team leads to create and execute customers' IT transformation. From early engagement with the customer gathering requirements to solution delivery and execution of the solution would follow under the charter. The role requires stakeholders’ influence & management skills, and the ability to collaborate among teams to drive Cisco and customer success

About you
The requirements for the role are as follows:
Skills:
Solid fundamentals of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-oriented design, and programming
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and Unix scripting
A good understanding of Cloud-based application development (using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services) and thinking about security and scalability
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering with an aptitude for learning new technologies
Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages like JAVA, Python, Scala, GoLong, etc
Strong testing inclination to ensure programs are comprehensive and well-tested for all use cases
Exposure to debugging application programs along with development and debugging tools
Familiar with more than one development environment, well-versed with at least one
Interest in User experience and User interface design and development (MEAN Stack)
Possess creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
Familiar with CI/CD tools namely GIT, GitHub, Jenkins, etc
Qualification:
Recent graduate or in your final year of studies towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related majors such as Math, Physics
Minimum of an 8.5 GPA or higher

Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering with an aptitude for learning new technologies
Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages
