Your role

Global Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement of all Cisco indirect goods and services globally. They serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production, indirect suppliers and services. They operate a best-in-class technology industry procurement capability delivering year-over-year competitive advantages.

This Procurement position could be in the Category and Supplier management team or Procurement Operations that support indirect procurement for Cisco enterprise. The team is responsible for Supplier Management, Operations, and Commercial and Legal negotiation to deliver competitive advantages to Cisco business functions like IT, Engineering, Shared Services, Finance, Sales and HR.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Handles the day-to-day relationship with external Suppliers
  • Internal Stakeholder management
  • Support or Develop category strategy and annual plan
  • Lead Strategic Sourcing activities
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking
  • Delivering year-over-year cost reduction for specified categories and suppliers
  • Provides procurement support in creating, maintaining, and managing the interaction between Cisco and key suppliers.
  • Facilitates the ongoing working relationships between Cisco business units, Cisco Sales Teams / Alliance / Channel Organizations, and suppliers. Establishes and maintains complex-working relationships that leverage Cisco's position in obtaining optimum pricing and terms for Cisco that maximize ROI and highlight TCO.
  • Performs the negotiation of pricing, contractual terms and conditions, deliverables and SLAs (Service Level Agreements). Create and plan for RFx offerings.
  • Establishes benchmarks, best practices, policies, and procedures used to manage the ongoing interaction between Cisco, its Labor suppliers, and key Cisco stakeholders.
  • Interacts with corporate officers both Cisco and third party

About you

The requirements for the role are as follows:

Skills and Qualification:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's in Business/Management/with knowledge of Operations/Supply Chain
  • High-energy Strategic Thinker with strong analytical and business acumen than direct control
  • Understanding of the Hardware / Software and Networking industry
  • Vigilant and forward-thinking with attention to detail
  • Willing to speak up, share opinions, and engage in healthy discourse
  • Collaborative and willing to give and receive feedback
  • Passionate about technology and compliance
  • Possesses knowledge of risk governance, policies, compliance, upcoming and existing regulations, and reporting laws
  • Familiar with Procurement processes and methodologies
  • Strong Communication skills, able to work cross-functionally and roll up details to working teams as well as executive for executive readouts.
