Size and presence: Capgemini's team has more than three lakh and forty thousand members and more than ten thousand employees, and it works in more than fifty countries.

Best known for: It persistently innovates to unleash the power of technology to improve business.

The good bits: Capgemini efficiently sustains business and the environment, plus miscellany (appointment of 40% of women in the organization by 2025) and incorporation of technology.

The not-so-good bits: Employees often complain about the promotion system and too much work pressure. They consider it good for a start but not for settling. 

The Capgemini Story

It was founded in 1967 by Serge Kampf. Its headquarter is in Paris, France. Initially, this company was involved in the management of enterprises and the processing of data. The CAP in Capgemini stands for “Centre d'Analyse et de Programmation”.

Later in 1974, Sogeti (A Company in New York) took control of Gemini Computer Systems. In 1975, the company Sogeti changed its name to CAP Gemini Sogeti, which, eventually, in 2017, was named Capgemini. Meanwhile, in 2000, Capgemini took over Ernst and Young Consulting (Company).

In 2021, Capgemini became partners with Sanofi, Orange, and Generali and started its program named Future4care which is an accelerator for many start-ups. Around one lakh and twenty thousand employees have been hired from India.

Recruitment process

It has three basic steps for recruitment. First, an online assessment test, and then a technical interview round will be conducted. On passing the first two rounds, the applicant will receive a final call from HR for a final interview. The applicants can also approach the website directly to seek vacant positions.

Career prospects

It is a great opportunity to start a career where a fresher gets positive chances to prove his talent and abilities. But, a fresher doesn’t have the choice to choose the project at the start. This platform provides good growth for an employee but still doesn’t offer a vast canvas for growth.

Remuneration

The remuneration varies per anum according to the post. But, for a start-up, it offers 2.8 lakhs to 4.2 lakhs INR per anum which can increase depending on the positions.
