The ACG story

The ACG group is a private pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mumbai, India. The company was founded by Ajit Singh and Jasjit Singh in 1961 to manufacture empty hard capsules shells for Indian pharmaceutical companies. The company extended its operations to other countries and became involved in various pharmaceutical businesses including manufacturing machinery for packaging films & foils, providing camera inspection systems, and end-of-line case packers. The company is committed to expanding its sales in all major markets. ACG’s well-known customers include Cipla, Sun Pharma, Mankind, Johnson & Johnson, and Dr Reddy. 

In 2007, ACG entered the European market by acquiring the Lukaps capsule plant in Croatia. It now has a presence in more than 100 countries and is the world’s second-largest producer of capsules. The ACG group has four business units including ACG capsules, ACG films & foils, ACG engineering, and ACG inspection. 

The recruitment process 

To join the team ACG Group, candidates can apply online, where they will find a detailed description of the required qualifications, responsibilities and required key competencies. Candidates are required to provide personal details and upload their resume at the time of applying. 

Shortlisted candidates will receive a phone call or email inviting them to take part in the face-to-face interview round. The candidates can discuss responsibilities, remuneration, and career prospects at the time of the HR interview. The HR interview is followed by an interview with a member of the relevant department. 

Candidates are expected to submit their documents related to educational qualifications and relevant experience. After the document verification, ACG sends the offer of employment to the candidate.

The ACG group offers average salary packages to their employees compared with other organisations in the pharmaceutical industry. A newly recruited design engineer earns approx 6 Lakh INR per year. Assistant managers can expect to start at 10 Lakh INR per year, with annual increases of 14 Lakh INR. The organisation’s benefits and bonuses are in line with industry averages.
